2017 Eastern Metro Region Track & Field

The Eastern Metro Region track and field portal is open for registrations.

This year’s region track and field will be at Knox Athletic centre (Knox Park – Knoxfield.) on 18th & 19th February 2017.

EMR to open to all athletes in age groups under 9 – under 15.

To be eligible to complete at EMR, all athletes must have completed in a minimum of 4 weeks of centre competition by the close of entries.

Entries close on 30th January 2017 at 11:59PM – No late entries will be accepted.

Four Pillars Multi-Event challenge 2017

We hope everyone had a great Christmas and new year and are looking forward to the next half of the athletic season.

Our first event back is on 14th January at Box Hill Athletics Track, which is a combined multi event day with Box Hill, Doncaster and Ringwood Athletic centres.

This is a great opportunity for our athletes to compete against 3 other centres in our region.

Athletes do not need to pre-register for this event. Please remember to wear your subway registration patch.

Calendar Season 2016/17

The Calendar for the 2016/17 Summer Season is now available on our website in the  LAN Handbook 2016/17  or can be viewed in Team App under the schedule tab. A hard copy of the handbook will be available to families at the start of our season on 8th October.

Registrations for 2016/17 Season

The Registration portal for the 2016/17 season is open.
Registrations are performed online through the LAVic website which you can find the link on our home page.

Come and Try is available for “NEW” athletes to the Centre . Athletes registered as Come and Try are entitled to Come and Try days before paying the membership fee and buying a uniform.

Learn how to Start Running Races

How about Learning to be a Race Starter !

Parents and Guardians, are you interested in taking on a more active role during our LAN Centre weekly meets?    Become a race starter: first, simply complete a short on-line introductory course and then second, attend a short (2 hour) practical seminar.

–  Enrol in and complete the short on-line course as early as possible.

–  Get in early as only a few practical seminars will be held each year from mid September through to about November.

–  Currently,  dates/venues released by Little Athletics Victoria for the Starting Practical Seminar
Croydon, Saturday 17-Sept-2016
Geelong, Sunday 16-Oct-2016

–  Possible further venues are Box Hill, Bendigo and  Melton (dates to be confirmed).
